The pool area is very nice & it overlooks the intercoastal waterway. Cool little Tiki Bar and wonderful staff.
I do not think it was clear the beach is not any easy walk from Resort and you can barely see ocean, ocean view rooms, very misleading. If I stayed there again, I would stay in a room that overlooked pool area/sound side. If you are not an beach/ocean lover, it would be a great place for you.
I liked the room ,pool was good ,but the price of the food was expensive
The location was nice and close to the beach. Miami is easily accessible from Hollywood using the highway. The bar has a nice view on the swimming pool and the marina.
When we arrived the hotel was almost completely booked. We had chosen a "standard room" and they told us that it meant that we didn't book for a particular type of room. Only a double queen bedroom and a wheelchair accessible king bedroom were available. We chose the last one for the king bed but it was not clean (stains on the bed and on the carpet, traces on the furniture). We were able to change room the second day and it was a little better (kind bed executive room). Generally, the carpets, the hallways and the towels (for the beach) are not clean and seems pretty old. The bed mattress was too soft and it was moving a lot every time we did a movement.
pool,next to a canal,honesty of people
beach and beach services was`nt attractive,so we`ved shortened our stay.
Bathroom was very nice
Carpeting and smell in hall room needs to be improved
staff was great, good tips on where to eat and always a cab available, room was very clean and kept clean and quiet - never heard any noise from hall or neighbors, I only ate one meal at the hotel (breakfast) but it was nice and a good deal (inexpensive), and I love the bathrobes - I live in those while in my room
there were guys on the beach renting you beach chairs and umbrellas at an exhorbitant price for just a few hours - and at 4 they went by trying to get you to give up your chair so they could pack up and go home - the hotel should possibly set up their own plan to do this and have set rates that apply to hotel customers (these guys were charging 30$ a day and even if you show up at 1:30 in the afternoon they expect full price)
I just used the hotel to stay for business trip. It was good value for money.
The room and bath were very comfortable and clean.
I wish the lovely TV set had additional channels.
Staff (esp. valet) were always friendly and helpful.
The corridor from the elevator down to our room was never vacuumed; pieces of tissue/trash were there the whole four days of our stay! Would strongly recommend new carpeting for a major face lift project; it even just looks dirty. Also, would strongly recommend that the restaurant in the hotel be more casual and accommodate families as well as people who are trying to eat economically and well. Thank you.
Approx. 300 meters to the beach, nice pool area and situated to a "river" with a very nice view from our room. Rooms are large.
The room was spacious and clean. I also liked that there was an exercise facility on site. I was attending a conference at the Westin and the Crowne Plaza was very close to that (walking distance) and the cost was half the money.
convienent to everything
The room was magnificent even, though I would have preferred a tub as opposed to a stall shower - for relaxation purposes only! The only complaint I had was the television as it was, I believe, Direct TV, and it did not work except for a few channels. Everything was soo clean, the location was convenient and everyone was extremely polite and nice.
It was easy to book online.
The Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach Resort was overpriced for the room and location. It was a very poor value. It advertised a beach location. The beach was across the four lanes of busy, congested traffic and behind several high- rise buildings. The view was of a causeway. The first room was nonsmoking. It smelled of cigarettes, the toilet was dirty and the towels were used. The second room faired only slightly better. The valet parking attendants were rude and hurried, demanding the car keys or else. The attendant at check- in did only what was minimal to get the room payment and get you away from his desk. The Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach was no Resort.
The service in the restaurant was very good. Rooms clean and housekeeping prompt. Alos like he fact that it was near to the beach and to the conference hotel - Westin.
My reservation was done through my company by Booked.net. The hotel had no record on my arrival which was late at night. The person who did the check in could have taken a more solutions oriented approach to the problem. Eventually the supervisor found out that the room was booked in the name of the person who made the reservation from my office and was able to check me in. If I was not insistent on calling my colleague who made he reservation on the spot, i wonder what the outcome might have been.
